Catering

There will be healthy breakfast, healthy lunch (Flying buffet from 12 to 14 o’ clock), and an unhealthy afternoon snack (cake from 3:00 p. m. onwards). Coffee and tea are available as well.

There will also be a free water station. We kindly ask all participants to bring their own drinking bottle so that we can avoid disposable cups. Additionally, you are able to buy soft drinks and even beer at the counter.

Dresscode

There is none. Dress like you like most. (Yes, even shorts are okay.) Dogs and other pets are not allowed.

Photos and videos

There will be a lot of photos, videos, and livestreamings during the SustainabilityCamp which will be directly loaded onto the Internet. There is almost no chance not to be photographed. If you don’t like this you can at least state that at the registration where you will be marked with a red dot.

Hashtag

To gather all tweets, posts, photos, and videos we encourage you to use our hashtag #ncbn18.

Wi-Fi and technology

Wi-Fi will be available all-over the place. Login details will be handed out at the venue.

We cannot guarantee high-speed connection at all times though. We recommend to check your mobile data package beforehand. Also it would be nice not to use Wi-Fi for downloading bigger data (computer updates, films, etc.).

There will be projectors in some session areas. Bet on VGA connection, HDMI may be possible, too. You need to bring a laptop and adapters if needed.

Bear in mind to load your batteries! There are few plugs at the venue – it’s a camping site! Professionals bring battery packs and broaden their circle of friends by providing a multiple socket.

Introduction round

As common on barcamps, everyone introduces his/herself after opening. Therefore you state your name and three hashtags (keywords). Example: “My name is Jane Doe and my hashtags are #sustainability, #camping, and #beer.”

Sessions

All participants are invited to give a session. That may be a presentation, speech, workshop, discussion, or another form of activity. During the joint session planning you pitch your session idea to the audience. A short voting shows how much interest is given and therefore how big your session area should be. A session lasts 45 minutes tops. Between the sessions there are 15 minutes breaks.
